The Koppelschleuse (belt-sluice)

To facilitate the descent of ships at the end of the former Ems-Hase-canal, the so-called Koppelschleuse was built from 1826 to 1830. It counts as a technical master piece because of its two-steps and can be visited in its still original condition today.
